Bottle Cap Wall Art - Hybrid Style

My sister Kristen is going to be having a girl in May.  The little one will be the first girl grand baby in our family and I am really excited to have her join her brother and three cousins.  Kristen is decorating the nursery in greens, pinks, and whites.  As soon as I saw this post on the Maya Road Design Team blog, I knew I had to do something like this, but for a girl.

I used Meghan Mullens' "She's a Hoot" kit available at Sweet Shoppe Designs and (3) Super Mega Bottle Caps 3" size by Maya Road.  I have to thank my local scrapbook store for ordering them for me: Scrapbooks Galore and More.  I used my Silhouette SD to cut out all the circles, the owl, and the rosettes.

Birthday Card {hybrid}

My latest card creation is with a kit coming out tomorrow (3/25) at 9th and Bloom by Jennifer Fox and Christy Lyle.  The card is from the boy part of the bundle.  I absolutely love the fun colors and elements in this kit and I am sure you will too!  I kept it fairly simple; just cutting out the sentiment and cupcake by hand, tying the twine on and around the cardstock (not the base), and adding the red button.  Sometimes simple is best!

Love and Remembrance Card {hybrid} - MOJO183

I need some sympathy cards in my stash, so I decided to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch this week.  I'm not sure I exactly like the end result, as the colors on the computer where much brighter than what they were when I printed them out.  All in all, this is a much more muted card than I normally make, which I guess is fine for the situation.

Mother's Day Cards {hybrid}

These cards were so simple to make.  All I did was take 4 punch scalloped circles (made with printed digital papers - see below for credits), layered them, and then added some ribbon!

Happy Birthday Card {hybrid} - SSSC109

Here is my entry for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch.  This is a card from a blog post I originally made for Jennifer Fox Designs' about faux stitching which can be viewed here.  I added some ribbon over the gift box as well as some stickles on the ribbon part of the gift.

Paper Rosette Cards {hybrid}

I have a new love.....paper rosettes!  I can honestly say I've never made one before.  I've seen them all over the place but never tried one myself until last night!

I used the latest release from Shawna Clingerman - Pretty Little Thing and Paper Rosettes from The Cutting Files.  I cut them with my Silhouette SD, of course!  After the machine cut them out, I scored each mark and then folded them.  I glued them together with hot glue and let them set.  Then I cut out a scalloped circle from a printed piece of Shawna's kit and adhered to the rosette.  I embellished each rosette a little differently - with buttons and pearls and then added some ribbon underneath.

Hello Sun Card {hybrid}

This card is another take on the Mojo Monday Sketch 182.  I used a kit that is coming out tomorrow at Sweet Shoppe from Meghan Mullens called Soak Up the Sun.  It's so bright and fun!

Happy Birthday Banner Card {hybrid}

I really liked the Mojo Monday sketch this week and just had to play along of course!

I used Meghan Mullens' and Kristin Cronin-Barrow's A Wonderful World kit.  The kit does nothing but make me happy every time I see it!  I also used my Silhouette SD to cut out the scalloped circle and the other that says "happy birthday" on it.

Check out how tiny those holes are in the doilie shape!  Thank heaven for my cutting machine!

I raised up the banner with some adhesive foam.  Gotta love that stuff!

Welcome Baby Girl Card {hybrid} Take 2!

Two baby girl cards in one day!  Everyone I know is having baby girls.  What is up with that?!  Don't they know that boys rule?  LOL, just kidding.  I would love to have a little pink bundle....but the arrival of my niece in May will have to do.  No more babies for me.

I decided to play along with the CPS sketch this week.  This is what I came up with:

Welcome Baby Girl Card {hybrid}

As soon as I saw the new Sweet Sunday Sketch 108, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.

I used Meghan Mullens' "She's a Hoot" kit, as I just love the brown, pink, and green together.  And that cute little girl is the latest digital stamp from Torta Gialla that I colored digitally in PSE7.  (Be on the lookout for a blog post about her at Me So Scrappy in a few days!)

Here are some close-ups of the little girl stamp that I cut out with my Silhouette SD machine.  Just look at the detail on her little hair curl!!!  Amazing, isn't it?!

Bring on the Cake Card {hybrid}

I had a little trouble with this card....the measurements were a little off for some reason for me, but with a little tweaking I got it to work.  I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch 107 along with an amazing kit coming out tomorrow at Sweet Shoppe Designs called "On the Loose" by Shawna Clingerman and Dani Mogstad.

Smile Card {hybrid}

The Mojo Monday Blog has a new sketch out for this week - Sketch 181.

 I used Jennifer Fox's 'She's My Sister' on this card and I love how it turned out.  I even added in some hand-stitching.  I love when I have the time to add that in!  The scalloped circle was cut out with my Silhouette SD.

Perfect to Me

I don't normally share my layouts here on my blog but these two are two of my new favorites and I am very proud of them.  In the words of Pink, "...you are perfect to me."  That's what the newest kit from Meghan Mullens and Traci Reed is themed after.  If you're anything like me, you'll be singing that song while you scrap!  The kit will be released tomorrow at Sweet Shoppe Designs.  Here is my layout with it:

Meghan also has a kit coming out with the fabulous template designer Cindy Schneider tomorrow.  This kit will blow your socks off!  It's called Irish Princess...and you know that I don't have any princesses in my house, but I still managed to use the kit.  It's quite versatile (and I'm not afraid to use pink on boy pages).

Many Thanks Card {hybrid}

Well this little card is so cute (in my humble opinion), hehe.  I went off of the Sweet Sunday Sketch 106 and used the new kit coming out tomorrow at 9th and Bloom from Jennifer Fox Designs called She's My Sister.  I also used the latest release from Arty Pants Digital Stamps called Card Sentiments Digital Stamps.  I used my Silhouette SD to cut the scalloped shape.

Get Well Soon Card {hybrid}

This card took me awhile to make.  I wanted to work with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch but I didn't want to do a circle or square card, so it took me some time to get this just right.  I'm not sure if it is exactly how I planned it out to be, but I do like the end result.  The colors are fun and bright, hopefully enough to cheer up someone who's not feeling well.  I did use my Silhouette SD to cut out the circle and the scallops - what a big help that was!
