A Minute this...Tuesday

Well, maybe I should re-name things and make it 'A Minute this Tuesday' since I can't seem to remember to post (or schedule things) for Monday anymore!  Maybe I just need a few more hours in the day - that sure would be nice!

I've had some fun the past few days trying to complete at least some of my June portfolio for Sweet Shoppe Designs.  I got off to a (very) late start due to vacation at the beginning of the month and then a lack of mojo.  Check out these layouts I made:

Heather Roselli - Big Spender
Jaclyn Bernardo - Simply Krafty Crinkles, This is Me Alpha

Simple Pleasures - Sweet Shoppe Designs
Background Stacks - Jaclyn Bernardo
Fonts - Hasty HMK, Century Gothic, Pea So Lovely

That Connection - Lauren Grier
Gimme Space Font - Darcy Baldwin and Lauren Reid
Hip Strip Templates - Jaclyn Bernardo

I made this one for the Speed Scrap hosted by Jaclyn Bernardo at Funky Playground Designs.  I LOVE how it turned out.
Flying High, Itty Bits Alpha - Dani Mogstad

nspired by the LYM Week #25 Challenge and a layout by Zenobia -The sweetest smile.
Sweet Pea by Creations by Rachael
Lilac Mist Jennifer Labre Designs
Fonts: CK Becky, Century Gothic

Inspired by LYM Week #26
And yes, there are 50 stars around the edge of the paper!
Hero - Krystal Hartley
Softly Falling (background paper) - Dani Mogstad
Blending masks - Misty Cato

Here's hoping I'll be back again sooner than later to share some more layouts and hybrid goodness with you all!

Card Making

So I missed 'A Minute This Monday' yesterday - I got a little distracted by a really intriguing card sketch on the Paper Crafts magazine blog (Go To Sketch Challenge #4).  I've been thinking about what I'd like to do for a few days and last night I finally sat down and did it.  It's not exactly how I imagined it to be, but I like the end result.  I can see doing another card with this same sketch a little differently though.  I am really into banners these days and I couldn't resist making one for this card!
I used the collab kit from Jennifer Fox Designs and Meghan Mullens called 'Oh So Studious.'  I also used some ribbon from Joann's and two buttons from Papertrey Ink.  I hope the person that gets it likes it as much as I do.

Happy scrapping (and crafting) everyone!

A Minute This Monday

Heaven's to Betsy!  I haven't posted on my blog in ages.  Shame on me!

I have to admit, I've kind of lost my layout mojo.  I'm having a blast making hybrid things though - go figure!  I did complete my portfolio for the month of May at Sweet Shoppe but I just haven't been able to get into it for this month.  It's not that the challenges aren't wonderful (they are!) it's just I can't get myself to get into them.  Maybe next month though!

I would like to share some of the things I've done (layouts included) within the past month or so that I really love.  This first is a layout I made for Log Your Memory's week #22 prompt.
Lauren Grier - Borderline2
Kristin Cronin-Barrow - Love is in the Air
Ali Edwards - Summer Sentiment Stacks
Fonts - CK Journaling, Constantina
Patty Cake photo action by My 4 Hens

The next layout I just love - plain and simple.  I'll have to try and make one with each family member.

This is just real life right here to me - Anthony showing me where his body parts are.  I like how this turned out.
Shawna Clingerman and Laura Banasiak - Mommys Boys
Jennifer Fox - Birthday Boy (white stamp)

Next, I made this card from a card sketch on the Paper Crafts blog.  I love the simplicity of it.

Melissa Bennett - Garden Party

And then there is this card - I made it for a friend who just had a baby.  It was my first time using stitching on a card - love it!
