Since we are somewhat settled in to our new house, I decided to get out the good ol' hybrid supplies and get crackin' with the newest release Meghan Mullens has coming out at Sweet Shoppe Designs on 3/3. It's called Lucky in Love and oh is it pretty! I also played along with the Card Patterns Sketch 154. I took some old lacey trim my mother in law gave me awhile back and used that as an embellishment on the bottom of the card. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Happy Easter Cards {hybrid}
I have always loved the elements Lauren Grier had in her 'Mr. Cutie Patootie' kit, which is retired (boo!). I used them in some cards I made for Easter along with the Card Patterns Sketch 111.

Get Well Soon Card {hybrid} - GS #82
I love the colors in the kit that I used for this card - it's from the kit Can't Hold Me Down by Lauren Grier. Lauren is in the hospital right now and is in need of all the thoughts and prayers on can give. I made this card in honor of her, using the Get Sketchy sketch #82 for this week.
Here is the sketch:

MOJO185
Okay, so I'm not in love with the sentiment on this card, in fact, I think I may just change it before I send it out to anyone. It bothers me the more I think about it, lol...but anyway, here is the card I made for the Mojo Monday Sketch 185. I used "Spring's a Hoot" coming out tomorrow at Sweet Shoppe Designs by Meghan Mullens.

I was recently introduced to the Get Sketchy blog and of course had to play this week! I also used a quote from the April portfolio challenge at Sweet Shoppe Designs and Meg Mullens and Kristin Cronin-Barrow's A Wonderful World kit.

Hello Sun Card {hybrid}
This card is another take on the Mojo Monday Sketch 182. I used a kit that is coming out tomorrow at Sweet Shoppe from Meghan Mullens called Soak Up the Sun. It's so bright and fun!

Happy Birthday Banner Card {hybrid}
I really liked the Mojo Monday sketch this week and just had to play along of course!
I used Meghan Mullens' and Kristin Cronin-Barrow's A Wonderful World kit. The kit does nothing but make me happy every time I see it! I also used my Silhouette SD
to cut out the scalloped circle and the other that says "happy birthday" on it.
I raised up the banner with some adhesive foam. Gotta love that stuff!

Welcome Baby Girl Card {hybrid} Take 2!
Two baby girl cards in one day! Everyone I know is having baby girls. What is up with that?! Don't they know that boys rule? LOL, just kidding. I would love to have a little pink bundle....but the arrival of my niece in May will have to do. No more babies for me.
I decided to play along with the CPS sketch this week. This is what I came up with:

Flower Card
I came upon the weekly sketch section at Splitcoast Stampers the other day and I just had to take part in it; Sketch Challenge 321 which featured a blocked design.
Here's my take on it:
As you can see, I took one of the elements from Meghan Mullens' newest kit that comes out tomorrow and used my Silhouette SD on it; it cut out beautifully! I simply cannot imagine crafting without that machine anymore.

You Make Me...
In the words of Uncle Kracker, "you make me..." I can have this song stuck in my head for hours! It's a good one though, so I don't mind.
Meghan Mullens will have a release out tomorrow called "You Make Me" and here's what I did with it:
I also used the Mojo Monday Sketch 159:
Happy crafting everyone!

Autumn Blessings
When I first saw the Taylored Expression Sketch 128 I had no idea what to do! I had to think about it for awhile. Then when I saw the new kit coming out tomorrow (9/23) from Jennifer Fox and Nikki Epperson, I knew I wanted to use that kit with the sketch. This is what I came up with:
For the words 'Autumn Blessings' I used DJB Gimme Space by Darcy Baldwin and Lauren Reid - one of my favorite fonts.
Happy crafting and scrapping everyone!

You Make My World Happy
I can't get enough of the new kit from Meg Mullens and Kristin Cronin-Barrow called A Wonderful World. I decided to use it on Mojo Monday's Sketch 156 this week. Here's how it turned out:
And another view:

I'm not happy about my little handwritten sentiment. Had I been thinking clearly, I would have printed it out on there instead of me writing it. Oh well! It is what it is. :)

For Your New Home
I based this card on The Sweetest Thing Sketch 85. I used some wordart that is coming out tomorrow from Paislee Press, who is guesting at The Digichick this month. I also used Harmony Lane from Pixel Gypsy, also available at The Digichick.
I had a friend who moved away a few months ago and got a new place. I have yet to send her a card congratulating her on things, so I'm guessing this'll be going in the mail soon.
Happy scrapping and crafting everyone!

Thanks Sew Much
Another night, another card! I'm completely in love with this card too. I decided to play along with the Hybrid Chick Caravan this week and their stop at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge blog for sketch #84 plus coordinating it with a September portfolio challenge at Sweet Shoppe Designs.
I used Eva Kipler and Scrapkitchen Designs' latest scoop called Savannah Flea Market plus tons of stitches - hand stitched, I might add!
Thanks for taking a look! Happy crafting and scrapping!

A Round Card
This was a first for me. I've never made a round card before and had no idea how I would go about doing it. But thankfully, I found my good ol' round circle cutter from Creative Memories
from my paper scrapbooking days and away I went!
I used the Paper Crafts Go to Sketch #5 for this, along with Endless Summer from The Digichick Designers and DJB Constance Beauregard font.
I hope whoever receives it loves it as much as I do. ♥

The Hybrid Chick Caravan
I'm very excited to be participating in the newly created Hybrid Chick Caravan at The Hybrid Chick!
The first stop on the caravan is Taylored Expressions for the sketch - Sketch #121. This was my take on the sketch using Pixel Gypsy's Funky Munky kit:

I even have a goodie for all of you - see that word art on the card? I made it and I've got it for you in a png file here. I hope you enjoy it! If you make something with it, I'd love to see it!
Happy crafting!
