Thank You Card With Stick Pins

My favorite designer, Meg Mullens has a beautiful, beautiful kit coming out this Saturday (4/14) at Sweet Shoppe Designs called Simple Pleasures and I used it to create this card that I am just in love with!

Thank You Card - Rainbow

The amazing Meghan Mullens has done it again!  She has inspired me to make a really cute (in my opinion) card!  I made it with her new kit that is coming out April 7th called Oh So Happy.

I used one of her amazing papers to create the glittered starburst.  I also used my Silhouette SD to cut out the alpha that spells "Thanks."

It was a lot of fun to make!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day Cards {hybrid}

This is no joke - I made these cards in no more than 20 minutes, if that!  Of course, my Silhouette SD was the main reason why.  I found this card in their online shop and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!

After I cut out the shape with my machine, I printed off the paper I wanted to use on the inside of the card - one from Meghan Mullens' "You Make Me" digital kit and adhered it.  I used a transparency sheet on the inside front of the card to add some strength and interest.  Finally, I added some ribbon and there ya have it!

Awesome Birthday Card {hybrid}

I came across the card on the left on the Paper Crafts Magazine blog and I just loved the way the "awesome" was popped off the card.  It had such great dimension to it.

I knew I could try something similar with my Silhouette SD, it was just a matter of having the perfect alpha and the time to put it all together.  Meg Mullens has a new alpha coming out tomorrow called "Burlap Alpha" and it was perfect for this.  I used some papers from her "Alphabet Collection: B is For... " and A Mom's Heart."

Flower Card {hybrid} SSSC112

I really love the colors on this card!  The papers are all digital and were printed off from the newest collab from Meghan Mullens and Traci Reed called Eco-Mama coming out tomorrow at Sweet Shoppe Designs.  I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch 112.  It's a little hard to see but I used my Silhouette SD to cut out the frame, the pennants, and the flower.

Bottle Cap Wall Art - Hybrid Style

My sister Kristen is going to be having a girl in May.  The little one will be the first girl grand baby in our family and I am really excited to have her join her brother and three cousins.  Kristen is decorating the nursery in greens, pinks, and whites.  As soon as I saw this post on the Maya Road Design Team blog, I knew I had to do something like this, but for a girl.

I used Meghan Mullens' "She's a Hoot" kit available at Sweet Shoppe Designs and (3) Super Mega Bottle Caps 3" size by Maya Road.  I have to thank my local scrapbook store for ordering them for me: Scrapbooks Galore and More.  I used my Silhouette SD to cut out all the circles, the owl, and the rosettes.

Paper Rosette Cards {hybrid}

I have a new love.....paper rosettes!  I can honestly say I've never made one before.  I've seen them all over the place but never tried one myself until last night!

I used the latest release from Shawna Clingerman - Pretty Little Thing and Paper Rosettes from The Cutting Files.  I cut them with my Silhouette SD, of course!  After the machine cut them out, I scored each mark and then folded them.  I glued them together with hot glue and let them set.  Then I cut out a scalloped circle from a printed piece of Shawna's kit and adhered to the rosette.  I embellished each rosette a little differently - with buttons and pearls and then added some ribbon underneath.

Hello Sun Card {hybrid}

This card is another take on the Mojo Monday Sketch 182.  I used a kit that is coming out tomorrow at Sweet Shoppe from Meghan Mullens called Soak Up the Sun.  It's so bright and fun!

Happy Birthday Banner Card {hybrid}

I really liked the Mojo Monday sketch this week and just had to play along of course!

I used Meghan Mullens' and Kristin Cronin-Barrow's A Wonderful World kit.  The kit does nothing but make me happy every time I see it!  I also used my Silhouette SD to cut out the scalloped circle and the other that says "happy birthday" on it.

Check out how tiny those holes are in the doilie shape!  Thank heaven for my cutting machine!

I raised up the banner with some adhesive foam.  Gotta love that stuff!

As always, thanks for looking!

Welcome Baby Girl Card {hybrid} Take 2!

Two baby girl cards in one day!  Everyone I know is having baby girls.  What is up with that?!  Don't they know that boys rule?  LOL, just kidding.  I would love to have a little pink bundle....but the arrival of my niece in May will have to do.  No more babies for me.

I decided to play along with the CPS sketch this week.  This is what I came up with:

Welcome Baby Girl Card {hybrid}

As soon as I saw the new Sweet Sunday Sketch 108, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.

I used Meghan Mullens' "She's a Hoot" kit, as I just love the brown, pink, and green together.  And that cute little girl is the latest digital stamp from Torta Gialla that I colored digitally in PSE7.  (Be on the lookout for a blog post about her at Me So Scrappy in a few days!)

Here are some close-ups of the little girl stamp that I cut out with my Silhouette SD machine.  Just look at the detail on her little hair curl!!!  Amazing, isn't it?!

Smile Card {hybrid}

The Mojo Monday Blog has a new sketch out for this week - Sketch 181.

 I used Jennifer Fox's 'She's My Sister' on this card and I love how it turned out.  I even added in some hand-stitching.  I love when I have the time to add that in!  The scalloped circle was cut out with my Silhouette SD.

Flower Card

I came upon the weekly sketch section at Splitcoast Stampers the other day and I just had to take part in it; Sketch Challenge 321 which featured a blocked design.

Here's my take on it:

As you can see, I took one of the elements from Meghan Mullens' newest kit that comes out tomorrow and used my Silhouette SD on it; it cut out beautifully!  I simply cannot imagine crafting without that machine anymore.
